On a sad note, I just want to pay tribute to Dr Clayton Allen Hubbs, the founder of the hugely successful Transitions Abroad, the portal for living, working, studying and travelling overseas.
Clay, who loved Italy and had lovingly-restored an old watchtower in a village near Siena, has died in his sleep after a long illness.
As his son Greg Hubbs, the web content editor for the portal, said: "Integrity, human decency, endless curiousity, and the humility of an old-school American gentleman who grew up alone in the farmlands of Missouri to travel the world fearlessly are qualities I believe have defined my father's life."
Clay Hubbs set up Transitions Abroad in his basement back in 1977 and evolved it into a successful family business.
The Transitions Abroad portal and magazine are so successful that the Association of International Educators have dubbed it "The single most useful and important" resource for work abroad, study abroad, cultural travel overseas, and international living."
